Musisi kawakan Imam Sukarwo atau yang akrab disapa Leo Kristi pergi untuk selamanya. Almarhum menghembuskan nafas yang terakhir di rumah sakit Immanuel Bandung, Jawa Barat pada Minggu (21/5/2017) dini hari tadi.
Kabar duka tetang kematian muisisi balada ini beredar dari pesan singkat yang diterima Bintang.com. “RIP trobadour ballad Leo Kristi (8/8/1949/-21/5/2017). Minggu pagi pukul 00.59 WIB di RS Immanuel Bandung,” demikian bunyi pesan yang beredar juga di dunia maya.
Imam Sukarwo terlahir di Surabaya, 8 Agustus 1949 dan dikenal sebagai musisi pengelana dengan ciri khas musik balada. Ia adalah musisi seangkatan mendiang Gombloh dan Franky Sahilatua. Leo Kristi, Frangky dan Gombloh sempat membuat grup band beraliran rock progresif yang diberi nama Lemon Tree’s. Namun kemudian ia bersolo karier karena visi bermusiknya berbeda dengan kedua rekannya tersebut.
Penyanyi yang sering tampil dengan busana hitam ini pernah merilis beberapa album. Antara lain, Nyanyian Fajar (1975), Nyanyian Malam (1976), Nyanyian Tanah Merdeka (1977), Nyanyian Cinta (1978), Nyanyian Tambur Jalan (1980), Lintasan Hijau Hitam (1984), Biru Emas Bintang Tani (1985, gagal beredar). Dia juga pernah merilis Catur Paramita (1993) dan Tembang Lestari (1995, direkam pada CD terbatas), Warm, Fresh and Healthy (17 Desember 2010), dan Hitam Putih Orche (2015).
Sebelum dimakamkan, jenazah almarhum Leo Kristi dibawa ke rumah duka di Jalan Bongas II E7 No, 17 Jatiwaringin Asri, Pondok Gede, Jakarta Timur. Sampai berita ini dibuat belum ada informasi soal pemakaman. Selamat jalan Leo Kristi. (bintang.com)
