Britain’s surprise vote to leave the European Union left many feeling like they do after a night of heavy partying. “We are all actually regretting it,” Mandy Suthi told ITV News at Manchester Airport.
She said her whole family all voted in favor of Brexit without considering the consequences — particularly the resignation of Prime Minister David Cameron. “I said to my sisters, ‘I wish we had opportunity to vote again,'” Suthi said. A young man named Adam told the BBC that he voted to leave but Cameron’s resignation had him “quite worried.”
Similar sentiment spread across Twitter under the hashtag #WhatHaveWeDone. It also included young Brits who blamed older voters for the results. Suthi said that once the eonomic impact began to dawn on her, she grew concerned about her won prospects.
