Serial Televisi Korea ‘Descendants of the Sun’ dilarang diputar di China

Pemerintah Tiongkok melarang seluruh tayangan sinetron dari Korea Selatan, karena alasan politis. Morningleader.com mengabarkan Kamis (4/8/2016), Pemerintah Beijing juga memberangus semua video dan film yang berasal dari Korsel. Bahkan, larangan juga diberlakukan terhadap acara televisi dan drama pop Halliu, yang menampilkan bintang tenar Korsel. Tayangan serial televisi berjudul ‘Descendants of the Sun’ itu menceritakan tentang cerita seorang tentara Korsel. Para gadis Tionghoa sangat tergila-gila dengan Song Joong Ki, bintang tampan Korsel pemeran utamanya, sehingga Pemerintah Beijing terpaksa melarang acara itu, karena dianggap berbahaya. Padahal, serial televisi yang dibintangi pula oleh Song Hye Kyo, aktris kenamaan Korsel itu merenggut 440 juta pemirsa di iQiyi, sejenis YouTube China. Menurut imbauan yang disebarkan di Weibo, mesin pencari utama Tiongkok, ‘’Dampak buruk menonton tayangan itu sangat mengkhawatirkan,’’ tulis imbauan itu. Misalnya saja, seorang lelaki dikabarkan ngotot menjalani operasi plastik, agar wajahnya mirip Song Joong Ki, sehingga istrinya bersedia kembali. Meski cerita itu sulit dicari tahu kebenarannya, namun para penggemar telenovela Korsel  itu, harus siap-siap kecewa, karena kisah lanjutan Descendants of the Sun 2, tak bakal ditayangkan. Harian South China Morning Post melaporkan, larangan itu tak terlepas dari ketegangan militer antara China dengan Korsel di Laut China Selatan. Pemerintah Beijing juga melarang pemutaran film-film AS dan Barat, gara-gara meningkatnya ketegangan yang dipicu perselisihan tapal batas lautnya dengan sejumlah negara Asia.
