On Wednesday, May 6th, at Ballers Philadelphia, a social sports club in Fishtown, tech entrepreneurs and investors came for the 1PHL Startup Summit. The 1PHL Startup Summit was one of many events from Philly Tech Week. The event was hosted by 1Philadelphia and made possible by lead sponsor, Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs, and additional supporters, such as Philadelphia Department of Commerce, J.P. Morgan, and Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania. The purpose of this summit was to create an environment where Philadelphia can create a thriving tech ecosystem by providing support to tech entrepreneurs through capital, educational partners, and resources.
Programming varied from many topics, including Staying Discoverable in the Age of AI, The Invisible Systems Behind Scaling Companies, and Raising Venture Capital in Practice: Key Decisions and Common Missteps. Many technology entrepreneurs highlighted their products, including creative artificial intelligence software for banking and innovation.
