The Consul for Economic Affairs at the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Los Angeles, Andy Milova Mauna, officially inaugurated Bali Cafe Indo on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The restaurant is located at 6370 W Flamingo Rd, Suite 23, Las Vegas, NV.
Guests were warmly welcomed by hosts Mia, Suratin, and Devi, who wore traditional Balinese attire. The opening ceremony began with a vibrant Balinese Janger dance performed by Nita Gia from the Indonesia Community of Las Vegas.
The event drew notable attendees, including Nevada Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony and Mrs. Bernadette Anthony, alongside community leaders and Indonesian cuisine enthusiasts. A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official opening, followed by a showcase of signature dishes such as gado-gado, nasi Minang, and chicken satay.
In his remarks, Andy Milova Mauna expressed optimism that Bali Cafe Indo would enrich Las Vegas’s culinary landscape with authentic Indonesian flavors.
“Establishing a business here requires courage, resilience, and hard work. We are proud to see Indonesian entrepreneurs continue to grow and succeed. You are not only building a business—you are also representing Indonesia by promoting our rich culture and cuisine,” he said.
He also emphasized the Consulate’s commitment to supporting Indonesian culinary businesses and encouraged collaboration among partners, communities, and stakeholders to promote Indonesia in the United States.
Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony congratulated the owners and presented a Certificate of Recognition, expressing hope for the restaurant’s continued success in bringing people together through Indonesian cuisine.
In their closing remarks, owners Hendra Wijaya and Michelle Koehler thanked attendees for their support. Hendra highlighted their commitment to delivering a high-quality dining experience, with a focus on excellence in food, cleanliness, and service.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Trisila Davidge, an activist and member of the Indonesian community in Las Vegas. The evening continued with networking, karaoke, and live performances by Asa Hanky of ASA Entertainment Sound System, along with singers Yudi Mendez and Anita Mack, who added a festive touch to the celebration.
